academyEX provides contemporary, applied learning for working professionals through The Mind Lab, Tech Futures Lab and Earth Futures Lab. Its catalog includes research master's degrees, postgraduate certificates, micro-credentials and bootcamps, with online and hybrid study options. Learners apply their learning to real challenges, and selected micro-credentials and postgraduate certificates can form pathways into master's study. Converge meetups bring together students, alumni, staff and industry professionals to discuss and critique research. The institution states that it is registered by the Tertiary Education Commission to deliver NZQA-approved qualifications and, following the discontinuation of EER categories in 2026, operates under NZQA's integrated Quality Assurance Framework.

Published fees are programme-specific. MTF domestic maximum: NZD 17675 for 2026 and 18550 for 2027. MCOR domestic maximum: NZD 14175 for 2026 and 14900 for 2027. Both publish international maxima of NZD 44880 for 2026 and 46995 for 2027. These amounts include GST. MCE's fee section accompanying 2027 intakes publishes a domestic maximum of NZD 13700 including GST and international maximum of NZD 46995; domestic components are NZD 3850, 2462 and 7388. Disruptive Technologies costs NZD 450 for domestic students in October 2026; international fees are unavailable. These figures do not establish institution-wide minimum or maximum fees.
