Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia

The Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia (Venice Academy of Fine Arts) was founded in 1750 and is one of Italy's oldest and most prestigious art institutions. Located in the Dorsoduro district along the Zattere, the academy is surrounded by Venice's rich cultural heritage. It offers comprehensive training in both traditional fine arts, such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking, and contemporary disciplines including new technologies for art, scenography, and art education. The academy emphasizes experimental art forms while maintaining strong classical training. Students benefit from the unique environment of Venice and direct connections to global art events like the Venice Biennale. It is a public AFAM (Higher Education in Art and Music) institution under the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
