Anglo-American University

Established in 1990, Anglo-American University (AAU) is the oldest private institution of higher education in the Czech Republic and the most internationally diverse university in Prague. Located in the historic Thurn-Taxis Palace in the Malá Strana district, AAU offers undergraduate and graduate programs entirely in English across three schools: the School of Business, the School of International Relations and Diplomacy, and the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. AAU is uniquely double-accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) — the same body that accredits Stanford University and UC Berkeley — and by the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education (NAB) of the Czech Republic. With an average class size of 17 students and a community representing over 80 nationalities, AAU emphasizes small-group teaching, international exchange, and career readiness. The university has over 3,000 alumni worldwide and partnerships with 35+ exchange universities globally.
