Australian Institute of Music (AIM) is a private music education provider founded in 1968. Its Sydney campus is at 66 Harrington Street, The Rocks, and its Melbourne campus is at 120 King Street. AIM offers undergraduate certificates, diplomas, bachelor degrees, graduate certificates, graduate diplomas and a Master of Music. Study areas include contemporary and classical performance, music theatre, composition, creative technology, musicology and music business. Programs emphasize mentorship by working industry practitioners, collaborative projects and practical creative development. The Master of Music centers on a substantial creative project supported by research and electives. An Undergraduate Certificate in Music is available online. International applicants and domestic applicants no longer completing high school apply directly; domestic Year 12 applicants in New South Wales and Victoria are directed to UAC and VTAC respectively.
