Gorsky State Agrarian University

Gorsky State Agrarian University (GSAU) was founded in 1918 as the Vladikavkaz Polytechnic Institute, making it one of the oldest higher education institutions in the region. Over its long history, it has evolved into a major scientific and educational center for agriculture in the North Caucasus. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across faculties such as Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology, Agricultural Mechanization, and Economics. GSAU is actively involved in scientific research aimed at improving crop yields, animal husbandry, and food processing technologies in mountainous and foothill regions.
