Papua New Guinea University of Natural Resources and Environment brings together teaching, research and community engagement in natural resources, environment, engineering and development-related disciplines. Its mission is to empower Papua New Guinea through quality education, research and innovation, with values of integrity, excellence, sustainability, service and community impact. Undergraduate offerings cover sustainable tropical agriculture, livestock production, fisheries and marine resources, tropical forestry, international tourism, sustainable accounting and finance, environment and climate change, and renewable energy and environmental engineering. Learning connects classroom study with farms, forests, marine environments, laboratories, projects and industry experience. The postgraduate management pathway includes a research master's, a postgraduate diploma and non-award professional development, delivered online and face-to-face in Kokopo. On-campus student accommodation supports residential learning and community life.

2026: the university-wide annual schedule lists course fees of PGK 3280, excluding clinical fees 171, student representative subscription 100, academic resources 342, insurance 34.20, repairs and maintenance 342, and a Year 4 special project charge of 1000. Compulsory fees must be paid in full and at least 50% of boarding and lodging paid before arrival; accommodation amounts are not supplied. Postgraduate management tuition is separately published as PGK 2500 per module, payable module-by-module, with board and lodging additional; that page includes a 2025 course schedule. NSL applicants pay PGK 50 processing. No domestic/international distinction is published, and annual undergraduate charges cannot be combined with per-module postgraduate charges into a comparable institution-wide tuition range.
