Sorbonne University (Sorbonne Université) is a major French public research university located in Paris, created by government decree in 2017. It brings together three faculties — Arts and Humanities, Health Sciences, and Science and Engineering — and is home to 55,000 students, 3,800 doctoral candidates, and 145 research units across 23 doctoral schools. A member of the League of European Research Universities and the 4EU+ European university alliance, it is France's leading recipient of MSCA postdoctoral fellowships from the European Commission.

National registration fees for 2026-2027: Licence 178€/year, Master 255€/year, Doctorat 398€/year, Ingénieur 630€/year. Non-EU students may be subject to higher differentiated fees since 2019, but many exemptions apply including scholarship holders, EU/EEA/Swiss nationals, and students in exchange programs.
