St. Peter Chanel Catholic College of Secondary Teacher Education prepares secondary teachers through Catholic, values-based education. Its mission emphasises professional teaching, holistic formation and service to communities across Papua New Guinea, including remote and underserved areas. The Bachelor of Education (Secondary Teaching) is a four-year, full-time degree comprising eight semesters. A compulsory foundation year is followed by major and minor study in Mathematics, Physics, Biology or Chemistry, alongside education, language and religious education courses. Later years include research projects and teaching practice, including a six-week final-semester placement. Students have access to on-campus boarding, pastoral support and a modest library offering study space, print and digital resources. Students must live on campus unless the Director of Student Services grants permission to live elsewhere.

Published annual fees in PGK: non-residential Year 1 9100, Years 2–3 8000, Year 4 8500; residential Year 1 12100, Years 2–3 11000, Year 4 11500. The recorded range covers both categories; these are annual school fees, not an itemised tuition-only schedule. The page carries Semester 1 payment deadlines of 2025-03-03 and outstanding Semester 2 deadlines of 2025-05-30; no newer schedule is supplied. No separate domestic/international fee classification is published. Minimum initial payments depend on sponsorship.
