The College of Law opened in New South Wales in 1974 and specialises in practice-focused education for the legal profession. A not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee, it is a non-university higher education provider with self-accrediting authority from the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency. Its Australian location network includes Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
The College offers Practical Legal Training, postgraduate qualifications, short courses and continuing professional development. Postgraduate study includes graduate certificates, graduate diplomas and master's qualifications, with online learning taught by practising lawyers. Across its wider Australia and New Zealand network, the College reports more than 100,000 alumni; this is not a current student-enrolment figure.
Student services include academic assistance, lecturer consultations, counselling and wellbeing support, career guidance, mentoring and reasonable adjustments. The College also offers free one-to-one career counselling and scholarships and bursaries for eligible applicants.
