The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM) is a specialized state university located in Sofia, Bulgaria. It originated in 1953 as the Higher Institute of Chemical Technology. Over the decades, UCTM has expanded its academic offerings to cover a wide range of engineering and scientific disciplines. The university is organized into several faculties, including the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, the Faculty of Chemical Technologies, the Faculty of Metallurgy and Material Science, and the Faculty of Ecology and Information Technologies. UCTM is highly regarded for its research contributions and maintains strong partnerships with industrial enterprises and international academic institutions.

International student tuition fees for 2026/2027 (Order №Р-ФХ-94, 04.06.2026): Bachelor full-time/part-time 2,400 EUR/year; Master full-time/part-time 3,000 EUR/year; Doctoral full-time 3,500 EUR/year, part-time/self-study 2,000 EUR/year. Special rates: Balkan-region students in German-language Chemical Engineering Bachelor/Master 1,500 EUR/year; Francophone Master (Gay-Lussac program) 1,500 EUR/year. Language preparatory course 2,400 EUR/year.
