The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is a private higher education institution located in central Prague, Czech Republic, founded in 1998. It is the largest English-language private higher education institution in the Czech Republic, serving students from more than 80 countries. UNYP offers American-style education taught entirely in English, structured according to the U.S. higher education model with small class sizes, discussion-based learning, and close academic mentoring. The university is organized into three academic schools: School of Business & IT, School of International Relations & Media Studies, and School of Psychology. UNYP offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in business administration, information technology, international relations, psychology, communication and media, digital media arts, and English literature. American degrees are awarded in cooperation with SUNY Empire State University, which is institutionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). European degrees are accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The MBA program is additionally accredited by IACBE and CAMBAS. UNYP holds institutional accreditation from the British Accreditation Council (BAC). The university operates on a rolling admissions basis with fall (September) and spring (January) intakes and offers over 10 million CZK in scholarships annually.
