University of Rostock

Founded in 1419, the University of Rostock is the oldest university in the Baltic Sea region. Located in the Hanseatic city of Rostock on Germany's Baltic coast, it is a comprehensive public research university offering over 200 degree programs across nine faculties, covering agriculture and environmental sciences, engineering and computer science, mathematics and natural sciences, medicine and life sciences, humanities, economics, social and legal sciences, and teacher education. The university has a strong maritime and interdisciplinary research focus.
