Akademia Górnośląska im. Wojciecha Korfantego w Katowicach (formerly Górnośląska Wyższa Szkoła Handlowa – GWSH) is a private non-public higher education institution in Katowice, Poland, registered in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education registry of non-public universities under number 36. Founded in 1991, it operates three faculties: the Faculty of Management, the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and the Faculty of Medicine, offering Bachelor's, Master's, and long-cycle Master's programmes across fields including management, finance, law, psychology, pedagogy, logistics, computer science, physiotherapy, cosmetology, and nursing. The university also offers postgraduate programmes, professional training courses, and doctoral seminars. It holds the Erasmus+ Higher Education Charter (ECHE 2021-2027) and maintains over 60 international partnership agreements. Multiple programmes have received positive institutional assessments from the Polish Accreditation Commission (PKA). The university has a branch campus in Żory and a facility in Vienna.
