Overview
Università Telematica Giustino Fortunato (Unifortunato) is a private telematic university established in Benevento, Campania, Italy, by Ministerial Decree D.M. 13 April 2006 (Gazzetta Ufficiale n.104). Named after Giustino Fortunato, the renowned Southern Italian historian and politician, the university delivers all academic programs exclusively via e-learning, making higher education accessible to those who cannot attend traditional campuses. Its degrees carry the same legal value as those of traditional Italian universities.
The university holds an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Certificate (n. IT236442, awarded 25 August 2010) for the design and delivery of telematic university and professional training courses.
Degree programs are offered at the bachelor's level (Laurea Triennale) in Computer Engineering, Law and Business (interclass), Educational Sciences, Psychological Sciences and Techniques, Transport and Navigation Sciences, and Sport and Motor Sciences; and at the master's level (Laurea Magistrale) in Business Administration, Applied Behavioural and Cognitive Psychology, Pedagogy and Cognitive Neurosciences, Sport Services Management, and a single-cycle degree in Law (Giurisprudenza). The university also offers over 35 postgraduate University Master's degrees (Level I and II) and numerous professional development courses.
Enrollments are open throughout the year with no admission test. Front-based exams are held at the statutory seat in Benevento and at exam centers in Milano, Roma, Palermo, Padova, and Casalnuovo di Napoli. The academic year is divided into two semesters (October and February).
Unifortunato is active in the Erasmus+ programme (KA131 mobility project) and has international agreements with universities in Spain, Romania, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, and Turkey, among others. The International Relations Office supports both incoming and outgoing students and staff.
