Università degli Studi eCampus is a private telematic university authorised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and institutionally accredited by ANVUR. Established in 2006 in Novedrate (Como), Lombardy, it occupies the former IBM European Training Centre, a campus set in green surroundings. With more than 100,000 enrolled students, eCampus is among the largest online universities in Italy. It offers fully online (full online) bachelor's degree programmes (lauree triennali), master's degree programmes (lauree magistrali and ciclo unico), first- and second-level postgraduate masters, professional training courses, teacher-qualification pathways, and doctoral research programmes. Disciplines span engineering, law, economics, psychology, education sciences, languages, communication, political and social sciences, biology, nutrition, sports science, fashion design, and tourism. Teaching is delivered via an advanced Virtual Learning Environment accessible 24/7; the only mandatory in-person activities are examinations and thesis defences, conducted at the Novedrate campus or one of numerous study centres (poli di studio) distributed across Italy. Since 2018 eCampus has participated in the Erasmus+ programme, holding an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) renewed by the European Commission with a perfect score of 100/100. The university is a member of the AlmaLaurea consortium and actively promotes international cooperation through bilateral agreements with universities in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
