University of New York in Prague

The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is a private higher education institution founded in 1998 in Prague, Czech Republic. As the largest English-language private university in the Czech Republic, UNYP serves students from more than 80 countries. All degree programs are taught entirely in English following the American higher education model, emphasizing discussion-based learning, small class sizes, and applied coursework.

UNYP offers bachelor's programs in Business Administration, Information Technology, International Relations, Communication and Media, Digital Media Arts, Psychology, and English Literature. Graduate programs include an MBA, Master's in Digital Marketing and Analytics, and Master's in Psychology. Many bachelor's programs lead to dual degrees: an American B.A./B.S. awarded by SUNY Empire State University and a Czech-accredited Bakalář (Bc.) from UNYP.

Institutionally, UNYP is recognized under Czech higher education law (Act No. 111/1998) and listed by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. It is also accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC). The MBA program holds IACBE and CAMBAS accreditation. American degrees are issued via SUNY Empire State University, which is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Organized into three academic schools — School of Business & IT, School of International Relations & Media Studies, and School of Psychology — UNYP provides an internationally connected academic community in central Prague, with access to internships, cultural networks, and professional opportunities across Central Europe.
